Design of Ground Improvement for Liquefaction Mitigation
Jim Gingery, PhD, PE, GE - Chief Engineer
The presentation will provide an overview of the most common ground improvement methods for liquefaction mitigation. The focus will be on the mechanisms of liquefaction that lead to damaging effects on building and other structures and how ground improvement counters those effects. Attendees will develop their knowledge of the advantages and limitations of popular ground improvement methods so they can provide optimized solutions to mitigate liquefaction hazards.
